Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using the services provided by CapitVetri Pet Services ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), you ("Client," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Services

CapitVetri Pet Services provides professional pet care services including, but not limited to:

  • Dog walking services
  • Pet grooming services
  • Pet sitting and boarding
  • Basic pet training and behavior modification
  • Emergency pet care assistance
  • Pet wellness consultations

3. Client Responsibilities

3.1 Pet Information

Clients must provide complete and accurate information about their pets, including:

  • Medical history and current health status
  • Vaccination records
  • Behavioral characteristics and special needs
  • Emergency contact information
  • Veterinarian contact details
  • Any medications or treatments required

3.2 Pet Preparation

Clients are responsible for ensuring their pets are:

  • Up-to-date on all required vaccinations
  • Free from fleas, ticks, and other parasites
  • In good health at the time of service
  • Properly identified with tags or microchips

3.3 Access and Security

Clients must provide safe and secure access to their property and pets, including:

  • Clear instructions for property access
  • Working keys or access codes
  • Information about security systems
  • Safe pathways and proper lighting

4. Service Policies

4.1 Scheduling and Appointments

  • Services must be scheduled in advance
  • Cancellations require 24-hour notice
  • Late cancellations may incur fees
  • Emergency services are subject to availability

4.2 Payment Terms

  • Payment is due according to agreed-upon terms
  • Late payments may result in service suspension
  • Additional fees may apply for special requests
  • Prices are subject to change with notice

4.3 Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue services with reasonable notice. In case of service modifications affecting scheduled appointments, we will work with clients to find suitable alternatives.

5. Insurance and Liability

5.1 Our Insurance Coverage

CapitVetri Pet Services carries comprehensive liability insurance and bonding coverage. Our insurance covers:

  • General liability for property damage
  • Professional liability for service-related issues
  • Coverage for pets in our care

5.2 Limitation of Liability

While we take every precaution to ensure the safety and well-being of pets in our care, clients acknowledge that pet care involves inherent risks. Our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law, and we are not responsible for:

  • Pre-existing medical conditions
  • Acts of nature or circumstances beyond our control
  • Damages resulting from failure to disclose important pet information
  • Consequential or indirect damages

5.3 Client Insurance

Clients are encouraged to maintain their own pet insurance and homeowner's/renter's insurance. Clients remain responsible for their pets' actions and any damages they may cause.

6. Emergency Procedures

6.1 Medical Emergencies

In case of a pet medical emergency, we will:

  • Immediately contact the client and emergency contacts
  • Seek appropriate veterinary care if the client cannot be reached
  • Follow any specific emergency instructions provided
  • Document all actions taken

6.2 Authorization for Emergency Care

By using our services, clients authorize us to seek emergency veterinary care for their pets when immediate attention is required and the client cannot be reached. Clients remain responsible for all emergency veterinary costs.

7. Prohibited Activities

Clients and their pets must not engage in activities that:

  • Endanger the safety of our staff or other pets
  • Violate local laws or regulations
  • Damage property or equipment
  • Interfere with service delivery to other clients
  • Involve aggressive or dangerous behavior

8. Termination of Services

8.1 Termination by Client

Clients may terminate services at any time with appropriate notice. Prepaid services may be refunded on a pro-rated basis, subject to our refund policy.

8.2 Termination by Company

We reserve the right to terminate services immediately if:

  • Payment obligations are not met
  • Safety concerns arise
  • Terms of service are violated
  • False information is provided
  • Abusive behavior toward staff occurs

9. Privacy and Confidentiality

We respect client privacy and maintain confidentiality of personal information. Our privacy practices are detailed in our Privacy Policy. We may use client information to:

  • Provide and improve services
  • Communicate about appointments and pet care
  • Ensure pet safety and well-being
  • Comply with legal requirements

10. Intellectual Property

All content on our website and marketing materials, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of CapitVetri Pet Services and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. Clients may not reproduce, distribute, or use our intellectual property without written permission.

11. Communication and Updates

11.1 Service Updates

We will provide regular updates on pet care activities, including:

  • Arrival and departure times
  • Activities completed
  • Behavioral observations
  • Any concerns or issues

11.2 Contact Methods

Clients can contact us through approved communication channels. We maintain regular business hours and provide emergency contact information for urgent situations.

12. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures in service delivery due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters
  • Government actions
  • Public health emergencies
  • Severe weather conditions
  • Transportation disruptions

13. Dispute Resolution

13.1 Informal Resolution

We encourage clients to contact us directly to resolve any concerns or disputes. We are committed to working with clients to find satisfactory solutions.

13.2 Formal Dispute Resolution

If informal resolution is unsuccessful, disputes may be resolved through mediation or arbitration in accordance with the laws of Ontario, Canada.

14. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. Clients will be notified of significant changes.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, along with our Privacy Policy and any service-specific agreements, constitute the entire agreement between CapitVetri Pet Services and the client, superseding all prior agreements and understandings.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any legal proceedings must be brought in the courts of Ontario, Canada.
